GOT HIM! Second Man Arrested In Kidnapping, Killing Of 25-Year-Old Woman: Police

A second man has been arrested on homicide charges in connection with the death of a popular local poet, authorities announced just hours after sharing his wanted poster on Jan. 4..

Paige Nikole Kibe, 25, was found near River Road in Bratton Township on Friday, Dec. 16, according to an earlier release by state police.

Michael Jason Kennedy, 44, of Yeagertown, was arrested and charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and kidnapping, among 13 other offenses related to Kibe's disappearance and killing on Dec. 21, state police explain in the release and court documents confirm.

Kennedy remains in the Mifflin County Prison after bail was denied, according to the police. 

His preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge Kent A. Smith on Dec. 28 at 9 a.m., according to his latest court docket. 

Kennedy has a criminal record and has served prison time for assault court records show. 

The case remained active and on Wednesday, January 4, Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers announced that state police had identified a second possible killer and a warrant was issued for the arrest of 26-year-old Trevor Alan Middaugh of Lewistown. He has been charged with Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping, and other related charges, according to the release. 

A cash reward of an undisclosed amount is available for anyone who shares details that lead to his arrest, but it is unclear if a tip led to his arrest sometime before 8 p.m. that same day.

Kibe went to Mifflin County senior high school and enjoyed poetry, especially slam poetry, and spending time with cats, dogs, and her friends, according to her social media. 

She "was an animal lover that loved camping, going to the river, and spending time with her friends," as stated in her obituary. 

Funeral and memorial services will be held privately, but her friends and family are sharing about their loss on social media. 

She is survived by her mom Heather (LeFevre) Knepp; stepfather Matthew W. Knepp; brother Bradly Kibe III; stepbrothers, Zachary Knepp and wife Kristyn, Isaiah Knepp and wife Jessica; half-sister, Cami Jo Knepp, all of Lewistown; paternal grandparents, Bradly Kibe, Sr. and wife Debbie; maternal grandparents, Shirley LeFevre and companion Chalmer Kline; step-grandparents, Gerald and Connie Knepp; and "numerous other family members that she loved dearly," as written in her obituary.

She is preceded in death by her step-brother, Gaige Knepp, and father Bradly Lee Kibe II, according to her obituary.
